Jack F. Schroeder, passed away, in Bay City, MI, Wednesday, April 7, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer, age 75. He was born May 22, 1945 in Mt. Pleasant, MI to the late John and Jean (Barber) Schroeder. He married Marilyn A. Sieja on October 9, 1965; Marilyn survives him. He was in the Army National Guard from 1967 to 1971. Jack was a plumber, pipefitter and Business Agent with the Local Union in Bay City, which at the time was Local #816. He ran the Sunday night bingos at the hall on Center Avenue. He was a member of the American Legion in Florida where he and Marilyn enjoyed their winter months. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #169 in Bay City. Jack loved traveling in his motorhome, family gatherings, back yard cook outs, riding motocycles, practicing at the shooting range and most importantly spending time with his family and friends in both Florida and Bay City.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Marilyn, three children: Jon (Lisa) Schroeder, Marc (Alisa) Schroeder and Sara Schroeder, and three grandchildren: Ava and Sophia Schroeder and Liam Slates. Jack was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Stanley and Evelyn (Janowicz) Sieja.
Per Jack's wish, cremation will take place. No services or visitation will be held at Squires Funeral Home. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to McLaren Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
