In Memory

Michael Schofield

Michael Schofield

SCHOFIELD, Michael Linn, passed away on July 6, 2025, age 79.  Michael passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on August 22, 1945.  He was the beloved husband of Sandra Miller Schofield, with whom he shared many years of love, laughter and cherished memories.  Michael was a devoted father to his two children, Craig Schofield (Denise) and Amy Sherbino (Mark).  His love extended further to his grandchildren, Michael (Kellie), Katelyn (Adam), Megan (Nathan), Dave (Elisa) and Kelsey (Luke), as well as his great-grandchildren:  Karly, Liam, Carter, Chase, Marshall and Logan.  Michael also had a special bond with his grand dogs Speck, Dutch and Ryder as well as many neighbors and friends.

A proud retiree from UBC Marketing in Saginaw, Michael's life was filled with a quiet strength, generosity, and a sense of humor that brightened every room he entered. His love for fun was evident in his pranks - he was a true practical joker, always ready with a smile and a laugh to share.

But more than anything, he was proud of his children and their families.  His support, encouragement, and love were constants in their lives.

Michael was a kind and giving soul, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.  His infectious laugh, quick wit, and joyful spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  Those wishing to express their sympathies may reach out to the family directly.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents James and Betty Schofield, and his older brother, Gary Schofield.

To honor Michael's wishes, no funeral service will take place.

I was a feature editor on the Handy Pep and Mike was our type set printer.  Always a smile and so easy to work as a team.  I remember having a great time reminiscing at one of the Class of 1963 reunions.  Rest in peace Mike and my sincere condolences to your beautiful family.

Sincerely,

JoAnne Bennett Smith
