RODRIGUEZ, ELAINE MARIE (Nee ROTH), passed away on September 30, 2026, age 80 years.
Elaine completed her journey on earth in the early hours of September 30, with her loving family by her side.  She leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply and joins in Heaven many beloved family members and friends who went before her, along with the Savior she loved and trusted throughout her life.
Elaine was born on October 1, 1945, daughter of Oscar Christian Roth and Alma Helen (Sauer) Roth.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Frank Rodriguez.

Elaine is survived by her brother, John (Barb) Roth of Fort Wayne, IN; her sister, Beverly (Jim) Wagner of Saginaw, MI; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Most especially, she leaves behind her two daughters, Angelica Elaine Rodriguez and Colleen Marie (Kevin) Brown, and her two granddaughters, Lauren Renee (Cooper) Wilken and Julia Grace Brown.

One of Elaine's greatest joys was cheering on her granddaughters.  Whether the occasion involved athletics or music, Elaine was an enthusiastic and devoted member of the audience.  Music and faith were also important parts of Elaine's life.  She loved to sing and shared her voice through the church choirs at Trinity Monitor in Bay City, MI, and Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington, IL.  She also lived with Type 1 diabetes for more than 60 years.  She met its challenges with determination and resilience, never allowing the disease to define the full and creative life she made for herself and her family.

Elaine's funeral will be Saturday, October 10 at 11:00 am.  The service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 801 S. Madison St., Bloomington, IL 61701.
