Marilynn A. (La Fear) Warren, 75, 0f Hart, Michigan passed away Sunday, January 24th, 2021 in Grand Rapids. She was born September 18, 1945 in Bay City, Michigan, the daughter of Ted and Alyce La Fear. She grew up in Bay City and graduated from T.L. Handy High School. After graduating from Central Michigan University with a degree in music education, she was employed by Hart Public Schools as a vocal music teacher until her retirement in 2010. She also coached middle school track for the district. After retiring she began volunteering for Love Incorporated. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hart where she sang in the choir for many years. Marilynn enjoyed traveling, both in the United Sates and abroad. She loved lunch out with family or friends and shopping with anyone. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Survivng are her daughter, Jennifer; her sister, Linda (Charles) Bennett; her brother-in-law, Donald Kempf; her beloved niece and nephews, Amy (Christopher) Morley, Douglas (Lisa) Kempf, Christopher (Sheri) Bennett, Gregory (Tracy) Bennett; and her grand nieces and nephews, who were her 'much loved grandchildren,' Carly Bennett, Sophia Bennett, Garrett Bennett, Taylor Bennett, Evan Bennett and Brody Morley. Also surviving are three Luedeman girls, Jenn, Jill, and Joy, who also held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Alyce LaFear; her sister, Judy Kempf; and niece, Kimberly Kempf.
A memoral service was held Saturday, May 29, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Hart.

Marilynn was a very sweet girl. She went to the same church I attended. I know she loved the Lord and is with Him now. She was one of the first people I met from our class when I transferred to Handy in 1962.
