KLOHA, Janet Mae, Mrs. Robert Smith, passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2022 at home from natural causes, age 77. She was born on August 26, 1945 in Bay City, and is the daughter of Herman A. and Leona (Landosky) Kloha. Janet attended Beaver Zion Lutheran Grade School and graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1963. She married Robert E. Smith in Auburn on September 18, 1965 at Beaver Zion Lutheran Church. Janet volunteered at Longview Elementary School and then worked as an office assistant at Pro-tec in Midland. Janet enjoyed vacation trips to Tawas and many years of camping with her friends and family. She enjoyed attending her church and participating in Bible studies. She enjoyed sitting outside in her flower garden, reading and playing games on her kindle as well as watching her 'grand dogs' Remington, Max, Millie and Mona. She also liked watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She was predeceased by her parents; Barbara Ann (Daughter), and twin boys. Janet will be missed by her husband Robert, sons Tom (Melissa) Smith from Gladwin and Matt (Cindy) Smith from Auburn; three grandchildren Hannah Smith, Curtis Mularz and Brandon Walters. Her funeral service took place on September 9th at Ware-Smith Woolever Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hope College Athletics Orange & Blue Fund (W. Basketball).
