Robert J. Beaver, enlisted in the U.S. Army, and his enlistment included time served in the Republic of Vietnam. Robert was born January 26, 1944 to the late Clifford and Elaine Beaver, Bay City, MI. He passed away, age 72, on August 24, 2016 and was laid to rest at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442. He was a loving husband, father and brother. He passed away at Toni and Trish House with his loving family at his side. Bob was a member of Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church, Knights of Permittees Association (FCPA) in Wyoming. He graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1963. After proudly serving his country, he volunteered as a firefighter at Monitor Township Fire Department while earning a B.S. degree in Education in Art and Industrial Ed. from Central Michigan University. Although Bob began his career in education, he spent most of his career in law enforcement as a dispatcher and 911 Supervisor and retired from Bay County Central Dispatch after 25 dedicated years of service. He also taught law enforcement communication classes at Delta College for police, fire and medical personnel. He served as a computer technician for Dow Chemical Midland Division WS99 project, and worked as a Sports Photographers.
