Paula D. (Johnson) Ranes, passed away June 30, 2008, Bay City, MI, age 63 years.  She was born January 25, 1945 to the late Walter and Lillian Johnson, Bay City.  She resided here all of her life.  She was a member of Messian Lutheran Church, a member of the O.E.S. Chapter #219, A.A.R.P., she was a school teacher, taught as a substitute in the Bay City School System and taught in Guam for two years for the United States Military in the early 1970s.  Paula is survived by her husband, Lawrence Ranes whom she married on July 17, 1999; two sisters, Donna Tierney of Bay City and Beverly (Gerald) King of Pinconning; one brother, Donald (Martha) Johnson of Bay City; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Funeral services took place July 3, 2008 at Messiah Lutheran Church with inurnment in Floral Gardens Cemetery, Bay City, MI.
